:confused: Hi

I have found a couple of shower enclosures that are ideal for what we need, but when I contacted both companies to ask what is the British Kitemark for the glass, they both said there isn't one.

I have a number of grandchildren who will use the shower from time to time and can't run the risk of dodgy glass.

MY QUESTION

Has anyone had a bad experience with shower enclosure glass - i.e.;

Shattering?

Not taking the strain if lent on?

Breaking in to sharp shards if damaged?

etc.

Thanks in advance.

Bathstore had a problem with their shower hinges that made the doors fall off the wall. We had a contract to replace the hinges, we replaced over 200 pairs of hinges in Hertforshire.

If a shower door does fall and shatter it will be in tiny pieces with no long shards of glass.

Any shower door sold in this country will have (should) a British Standard Kite Mark, which means it's toughened glass and safe.

Just make sure it's fitted correctly.
