 Went to a leaking CWS cistern in a farmhouse - I`d fitted it 30 years ago - the plastic cistern was leaking onto the chipboard platform ( blame the chippy for the chipboard  ) What had caused it :?: Woodworm - made 3 or 4 holes through the chipboard and carried on into the plastic  . Pleased to say my guttering from 1973 is still good in a nearby village ;)

So woodworm chewed the plastic cistern..... :)

Interesting,I went to a semi a couple of years ago that had a leaking domestic tank in loft, tank had been laid on a sheet of ply that was infested with woodworm, bottom of tank looked like someone had been playing darts on the base.

Thankyou , easyflow - you`ve restored my credibility ;)

I suppose 30 years ago he would have been excused for not knowing that chipboard is not allowed.

I doubt that proper marine ply is eaten by woodworm.
