Our boiler is about 10 years old and has survived being relocated and ha given us good service. It ha s recently started intermittent firing up when the hot tap is on therefore only supplying Luke warm water. I have had problems in the past with the DHW micro switch and have replaced several over the years this appears to be working. I have just removed the DHW heat exchanger for a clean it was spotless. I have replaced the diaphragm and re commissioned but the problem remains. The extraction fan also seems to run on way after the boiler has shut down and usually by a gentle tap with finger on the front of the boiler it switches off.
Any pointers as to where to start replacing or whether to bite the bullet and go for new.
