My above shower has stopped working. On the thermostatic control there is no longer a light despite their being power supplied to the unit. When I switch it off/on from the fused spur, the processing box kicks into life, and the water flows out for a few brief seconds and then stops.
The shower is a 2002-3 model, so not covered by warranty. Just looking for ideas on what might need to be replaced or whether I should just replace the unit.
Any ideas?

Assuming it is supplied by the cold water tank/hot water cylinder, maybe an airlock? or collapsed inner hose? When you switch it off are you leaving it for a couple of minutes before turning it on again?

It's fed off a combi boiler. Yes, I've tried leaving it switched off for a couple of mins but no good.

As jeff said, usually the module fails shortly after the guarantee.

James.

Any recommendations for decent brands? I assume due to the age my showers parts would be obsolete. Still is over 10 years for a power shower quite good going?

Would a fault in the processor box prevent the lights on the thermostatic control to come on?
