aquarius wdl5490 washer drier fills, runs, stopped, series of loud clicks all lights flashing

hi all ive mended a few machines but only easy stuff so if this is a case of better getting someone in then please say so
i am however an engineer and pretty good with most things given good direction, but also know when to bother etc
the machine has had relatively little use and the missus loaded and started and then within a few mins after filling and running as normal it stopped, a series of loud clicks and all lights flashing better than the christmas tree

ive seen about a c17 but also seen on another post not relative to this machine

all ideas, solutions etc etc welcome

o by the way ive emptied it now and checked the pump filter isnt blocked
taken the top and back off to no noticable broken / loose wires

got a man that can in the end and it was the thermister, (temp sensor thing) he also changed the connector in the interest of being thorough the top 2 blue wires fed down to it anyways lol
