Hi,
I was windering if anyone could assist me with understanding what the blocking code bl 12 means on my Atag combi boiler. I have checked in the installation and servicing instructions, but this code is not listed.

It maybe a coincidence but it would appear that this code is displayed when someone increases the shower temperature on the thermostat to above 38 degrees.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
Cheers

well hot water that comes out of your hot water tap comes from a heat exchanger needs cleaning or replacing ,well cleaning is when you remove dirt like when you clean the house but in cleaning you need chemicals so you can get that product clean . Replacing , is when you change an old component with an new one :LOL:

Nick - not much help atm, but for when you get your Hex cleaned/exchanged, bear in mind that the hotter you heat your water, the more scale will deposit in your boiler.

The chaps on here will no doubt supply relevant figures and reasons, but something to bear in mind for the future.

Thanks for all your comments very much appreciated - i will get the chemicals out and get this clean lol obviously with my mask goggles and rubber gloves ;)
