Bath room shower tiling on wood

Hi I have a door way blocked up with a sheet of 22mm Oriented Strand Board (OSB3). I have studs across this so there is no play in the sheet.

Can I tile onto this?

There will be a shower on the tiled side?

not a great idea. replace the OSB with a cement backer board

as above use tile backer or plasterboard with a acrylic primer
