My B&Q Victorian style Bath/Shower mixer is not running hot water. We have a combi boiler. This problem has happened before and fixed itself, which made me think it was an airlock problem. I've followed the instructions for airlocks with a sponge, and it hasn't made a difference this time. The hot tap itself doesn't seem to turn more than one rotation at the moment either. There is occasionally a trickle of water on half open, which stops after 30 seconds or so. There is also quite a lot of noise. Cold water is fine, all other taps in the house are fine. What can I try next please? I discovered this last night after dyeing my hair, which was a bit of a problem to rinse! We have no other bath or shower so I need to fix it! Please help!

Yes, the tap guts need to be removed from the tap body, the circlip remove from the guts which allows the tap to be dismantled. change washer, thoroughly clean up, lubricate all parts, re assemble.
