Hi Everyone,
I am trying to change my bathroom flush light, I only have 2 wires coming from the ceiling, red and black. I have changed light fittings before, no problem, the original fitting was a 3 spot light and I am changing it to flush fitting. I wired it exactly as the previous light, no joy. Ihave checked the light on and off with my electricians screwdriver, there is power there but no light. should this lighting have an earth? there were none previous,
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Paul

Try a different lamp in the fitting. It may be blown, or try that lamp in a different fitting to see if it is alright.

Have you got a duff dimmer?

Don't FGS trust one of those potentially lethal screwdrivers...

You have neutral problem my friend, with your multi metre if you have any check that you are getting 230or 240 volts at terminals,
