the above boiler when on central heating the pressure gauge goes above 3 bar,
I have checked the filling loop, not letting by.
checked the expansion vessel,pressure ok.
has anyone any other suggestions.

about 4 years ago I had the same problem,it turned out to be the plate heat exchanger.
I phoned baxi and they said it would not be the plate heat exchanger but would not give me any more info. help ???

Thats rather stupid!

Look at the FAQ on this site and then do it properly!

That might solve the problem!

Mate, the EV should be checked with no pressure in the boiler at all. Then check with your guage and if required pump the EV up to 0.75 bar. Refill the system/boiler via fill loop, vent all air and pressurise to 1 bar on the boiler guage.

hi agile and 45yearsagasman,thanks for the info.followed your instructions on how to check EV pressure properly,it seems to have done the trick. thankyou.
