thanks for landing on my page
Seen loads of posts on forums about bay window dropping a little after a double glazing installation, no one’s posted a fix.
too cut my boring long story short…double glazed windows replaced by a cowboy firm who are no longer is business.
During the installation of the bay window, the bay has dropped at some point, a fews cracks have appeared the 1st floor window no longer closes and ground floor windows are also stiff, the flooring around the bay area has also dropped slightly indicating movement.
Ive bought a pair of nicholls and cooke structural bay poles, to ensure I get the correct support, does the below sound like a good plan.
http://www.nichollsandcooke.com/bay-poles-standard.php
1)Take the window out
2) jack up the bay a 2 inches with the use of timbers and 2 bottle jacks.
3) once the bay has been jacked to hopefully to its original position, add the new structural posts.
This sound like the right plan of action.
Thanks Again
