Beko DW600 not completing the wash cycle

I have a Beko biuilt-in full size dishwasher (DW600), it just got installed and when I ran a quick 30 minute cycle for the first time, the cycle started, themachine filled with waterand I could hear the washing but then it stopped and for a long time it didnt do anything. The cycle is meant to last for 30 minutes but I let it be for nearly an hour and nothing's happening. There is no more water left inside the machine but the cycle didnt end and the machine didnt beep. Please let me know if I have missed something before I switched on the machine initially. I did fill the salt compartment with 1L of water before I started the cycle.
