Hi, I am having trouble with the belt on the back of my washing machine as it keeps sliding back? its a brand new belt??? Any help PLEASE

Is the motor loose was it noisy on spin. When u say slipping back do u mean it comes off.

It was noisy on spin before the belt snapped and the new belt does come off? Any ideas and please don't say it's expensive

If there's play in the inner drum or lifts up by a few cm or a brown stain running down the back of the drum near the belt then drum bearings gone. Time to scrap it.
