Blocked Gutter.

A cast iron pipe that takes water away from my roof has got blocked. The pipe has a couple of bends in it as it runs down along side the house and one of these I think is the source of the problem. I have tried a wire coat-hanger but could not get deep enough and caustic soda did not clear the pipe. Can anyone tell me how I can clear this pipe?

Try a garden hose up or down the pipe and blast it out with water

sometimes, gentle tapping of the pipe can free any crud stuck in the swan neck.

Don't tap it too hard A rubber mallet is best
