Blu Ray player

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a single Blu Ray unit that;

Plays/ Records/ Has cinema surround sound ?

at the moment I am achieving this with separate items but would like to combine it into a single box.

Blu-ray recorders have been a bit of a damp squib so far. Not being unable to archive from Sky in HD wouldn't have been such a handicap if Freeview had more HD channel choice. Then there's the hassle of time-shifting on disc. Using a PVR is much easier. So if there are any one-box home cinema kits with BD recording then they're few and far between.
