most pdf writers will work, all they are is a print driver - a replacement for a printer.
It just writes to file instead of printing it.

i did it, by using a method someone mentioned earlier ,but it involved virtual printing or summat .

Keep original doc', when necessary edit that then recreate the PDF file seems to work quite well.. Not the whole PDF monty by any means, but Adobe £££ required for that.

I use PDFCreator it installs as a printer and you just print to it and it creates a PDF.

A great pdf application I have been using for years is PDFCreator. Essentially it install a pdf printer driver and with that you can pdf any file. A useful feature of this software is that you can queue files and have them all compiled into one pdf document.

PDFCreator is free! The best bit.
