Hi,

I'm interested in getting a shower room done in the loft and would like to find out if my current boiler would be able to support this or whether i'm looking at having to purchase a new one.

i currently have a Radiant rsf 24e Slim combi boiler 26KW currently running 9 radiators one toilet room and one bathroom.

perhaps there is a website to check this?

You need to work out the sizes of your rads, work out the kW per rad and add it all up.

I go to websites like screwfix or wickes find the closest matching rad and take the rad kW from that.

Unless your rads are massive, I can't see it being a problem.

As a general rule combis will only supply one hot water outlet at a time.

Ie you will only be able to use one shower at a time.

I'm guessing you have the problem of the shower going cold when someone opens the hot tap when someone's in the shower?

This is why.

ok i got you. i believe we do have this problem. This is not a biggie.

i've been told the upstairs shower would have reduced pressure?

Not necessary, depends on your mains pressure.

The higher you go the worse the pressure you will have but if you have good mains pressure it won't be a problem.
