Hello,
just moved into a new house and there are some issues with the boiler. if anyone has any ideas what is causing these symptoms, i would much appreciate it if you let me know any diy fixes.

After about 2 hours of the central heating being on our boiler starts banging and starts making noises.

There is hissing, steam visible and a very tiny stream of water coming of the pipes located at the back of the boiler.

As soon as this starts, the overflow pipe that leads from the tank in the loft through the roof into the back garden, releases about a bucket of water.

The boiler is a glowworm ultimate, must be at least 10 years old.

please help!

You need to get it checked as it is boiling over, the vent pipe is a safety feature.

Can be one of several things.
