Late part of last year I had been doing some work on my CH system (vented, pumped primary), replacing damaged drain taps, replacing the pump etc.
As I had to drain down to do it I ran with X400 for about 4 weeks when I filled it back up, and when I drained THAT out the water was very brown, so obviously was flushed through with plenty of clean water, before being refilled with X100.

However I do live in a hard water area, and I've read that X400 doesn't tackle limescale build up?

As I now need to do some more work which will involve draining it down again in order to fit a towel rad in the bathroom and make some adjustments to the pump location is it worth giving it all a good clean again?
I have read that after fitting new rads etc it is recommended to clean through in order to remove excess flux etc from the pipes and would have normally used X400 for this.
I'm just wondering if a session with X800, (just circulated hot with the pump), would be beneficial to the system as I believe that does clean any limescale buildup?

Thoughts and advice please :)

Thanks Andy, that does sound a lot easy / preferrable than having to fill it, circulate, drain, flush & refill again :p

I'll grab myself a bottle of X200 to dump in this time and see if it improves things :)
