Boiler coming on when its off??

Hi all i have a glow worm 24CI
Just lately i have noticed that the timer is set to come on in the morning and the same at night (just before i come home from work) But last few mornings has been warm so no need to have heating on. Except when i wake the heating is on. Now the timer is always set as its a dial type where you press out the little notches, but the heating is set to off not timed. Why is the heating still coming on? If you then set it to on and then back to off it turns off...

Cold?? frost stat kicking in during night possibly

Thing is if i click the little things so its not set to come on then then it doesnt. its when the clicky things are set it comes on even if the boiler is set to off..
