I have a Potterton Flamingo 2 RS40 and today have noticed that it won't fire up when heating turned on and hot water is getting colder. Can anyone suggest a probable cause why the boiler won't fire up for either requirement.

Is the Pilot Flame alight? follow the instructions on the back of the boiler door to relight if it won't stay alight it could be a failed Thermocouple get a Registered Gas Engineer to have a looky see ;)

Yes the pilot light was alight last night, however, this am I tried the heating and water again and to my astonishment they both fired up. This was short lived as now the pilot has extinguished, so i'm guessing it's the thermocouple that was at fault!!!
