I have a Worcester CD30i on an s-plan. I have just fitted a wireless room stat which works fine. The boiler was working hard to heat the whole house up (system was cold) and when it had got to about 50 degrees I turned the stat back to make sure it would shut off, which it did. The internal boiler temp went up to 95 then (usually doesn't get above 80) presume because it was working so hard at the time. There's no external ABV fitted between the boiler and valve - should there be one? 95 seems too hot for my liking. The heat control was set at just above 5 (have now turned it back slightly) and the usual temperature that it gets to is about 71-72.
Any help on what I should get done (if anything) would be appreciated.

Thanks.

You should have an automatic bypass valve fitted and the pump should be wired to the boiler pump terminals for a pump overun after burner shutdown.

Thanks - the pump does over run for a few minutes but there's no bypass valve in there. I will get one fitted soon then!

Thanks again.
