Im looking to buy a second hand glow worm boiler, it has been used for 2 yrs, then removed and stored for 1 yr.
Could the 1yr in storage have done any damage if water had been left in it??
Thanks

Hello , yes it was in good working order when it was taken out. It has got some rust on the casing from storage.presumably in the garage?? Could it be irrepairable?
Thanks

I'd expect the pump to be siezed as it's cast iron and won't have taken kindly to being stationary and wet for a year. Probably nothing wrong that can't be repaired but may end up costing you more than a new boiler. If it's been in a garage for a year and has had water in it be prepared for it to be frost damaged (split pipes / heat exchanger / expansion vessell etc etc)

Thank you very much for those replies, perhaps its not such a good idea after all!!!
Great forum :)
Many thanks ;)
