bosch exxcel 1400 express noisy drain pump

Hi New to the board.
Bosch WM getting tempremental. In drain cycle it is making a loud rumbling noise. It will not spin unless clothing is placed equally around the drum which isn't a problem. but could there be something stuck in the pump? if so, can it be cleared. Thanks Robert

Remove the filter (front RHS usually) and check for obstructions and pieces of crud

Did you check the pump impeller as well. it resides behind the filter. Bits and pieces commonly get caught in it and either rattle around or stop the impeller from turning.
They can be teeny little bits as well. Occasionally I find bits of stick etc poking out from the sump to pump hose into the impeller and act like the old clackers on bikes.
