bricking up a door

Guys,
I want to remove my old 30" upvc door and just brick up the hole.
The walls at the moment are double bricked and wall only supports end of roof. No second floor.
What I wanted to know is what is best to use to secure new brick work to old?
Not to worried about outer finish as the walls are rough casting finish.
inner wall will be plastered to match interior finish.
