You should cut in around the brickwork, window reveals, doors and eaves with a brush and possibly a mini roller which should eliminate the need to mask anything. Once done, use a roller with a suitable masonry sleeve to paint the rest of the walls.
If you do need to mask anything use 2" masking tape and possibly polythene to protect windows and doors from splashes. Smooth render shouldn't cause much splashing but textured finishes will.
