Hi- My brother in law recently bought a Citroen C5 and it has a quirk. When he indicates to make a turn, the headlights (low beam) flash. This is very dangerous as other cars think he is flashing them to proceed. I`ve done a bit of Googling and see it is not a one off problem, but have not really received a definative answer. It is a Y reg HDi with 150odd K on the clock. Cheers for any ideas.

Check very carefully for sound earth connections within and around the headlamp shell. Each bulb is linked together via the earth connection and then its taken to the car bodyshell.
Also check that the correct bulbs are fitted, and are correctly installed in their holders - front and back!

Cheers for that Burnerman- I have blasted it all with WD and given it a cursory inspection, but I`ll have another look in light of your advice.

Thanks Skippster- Yeah, that was another one I`ve heard mentioned but I imagine for a novice it`s a bit of a nightmare to check/replace?
