Had some external decoration done, the contractors removed the cable clips holding the incoming power cable on, and they've lost some.

Any idea where I can get some of these clips/clamps?

DNO issue only , I suspect, ie the electricity company who installed the equipment.

Your decorator is an idiot messing with stuff that a) does not belong to him (or you) and b) could have fried him.

This is your decorator's issue to sort out, not yours and it will likely be chargeable by the DNO.

Tell him to sort it out ASAP. If he does not, give his details to your DNO who will rectify the issue and send the bill to your decorator.

Cleats like that suggest quite old wiring, there is some on some local houses feeding in power, tapping off at each property. The joints are all bare line taps just above head height...

Agreed. Clips like that suggests a pair of single conductors. Likely with brittle insulation that could have been damaged by moving the cables. The decorator is an idiot.
