I need to install a light with PIR in my Mums enclosed porch however there are no lighting circuits anywhere near to it, I am planning to run a spur from a power ring via a FCU to provide power, however due to the location of a window I will need to run the wiring from the FCU to the light horizontally about 1m above the floor.

Is it acceptable to do this with cable clips, I am planning to use a 3 amp fuse in the FCU and connect from the FCU to the light using 1mm Twin and Earth.

If not can I use plastic 20 mm trunking?

Yes, you can do that. All correct.
If the cable remains visible then you may run it wherever you want.

However, Is there not a hallway light just inside the porch?
Trunking (or clips - not a good idea on plastered walls) on the ceiling will look less unsightly than on a wall 1m above the floor.

Great thanks the walls are painted brick so clips should be OK, unfortunately there are no lights or sockets in the porch at present.
