At present I have a 7.5 Kw shower wired with 6mm squared cable, protected by a 30 amp fuse. The run of cable is about 5metres with most of the cable under the floor. Can I upgrade to an 8.5 kw shower using the same cable, and can I change the fuse to a 40 amp mcb. I believe you can get retro fit mcb's to fit fuseholders.
