Can neighbours builder knocked out the partition breeze block in loft?

That's good news.

But do remember that correcting this one thing does not mean that other issues wont arise as the work progresses - however nice the builders are. A formal PW Agreement will take care of your interests. And as a bonus, cost the neighbour a tidy sum.

Also, a clued up surveyor acting for any future buyer would be asking if any PW agreements were in place.

Take photos. Tell them to fix the hole they've made. Don't make any comment about whether their fix is adequate when they finish. Tell them not do do any further work until the party wall paperwork is complete. Don't let them make you agree to anything else. Keep your insurers informed of developments. Keep notes of what you and the insurers have spoken about. Consider following up your phone calls to the insurers with letters so that you have a written record.
