The reason I ask is that the smallest bath tub i can find is 1700mm but i only have 1670mm to work with. So i was thinking of just lopping off 30mm from the end? Anyone tried cutting acrylic? Is it jigsaw or hand saw job?

thanks as always...

Far easier to chop out a bit of plaster each end even a bit of brick/block if you need to, do it at the head of the bath otherwise you may not be able to turn the taps without hitting the wall.

It is easy enough to cut the bath but if you remove the turned down edge the bath will loose a lot of rigidity and you will have a job keeping it sealed to your tiles.

thanks for the advice! i was only going to chop off the other end not the tap side! I think I'll just shave a bit off and hack off some of the plaster aswell

cheers!

i would suggest you dont even shave a bit of

you will reduce the strength as the rolled over edge greatly helps the rigidity
you may also cause a crack to form if not cut properly
