I have just replaced the element and bulb for my candy oven.

The problem now is that although the oven works, it takes 3 times the recomended cooking time to cook items.

I put a pizza in at 200 for the recommended cooking time of of 12 to 14 minutes and it actually took 45 mins to cook.

Can my problem be linked with the replacement element or is this another problem?

Is it a fan oven and if so is the fan at the rear behind the back plate running properly up to speed, does it rotate freely or does it stop quite quick when you spin it by hand.

A reasonably common fault after fitting a new element is to not fit the thermostat expansion tube back correctly (if its in the wrong position it will operate the oven at the wrong temperatures)
