Hi,
Have just bought a condensing tumble dryer. There's no room for it in the kitchen so we're going to have to place it in a carpeted room for now. The operating instructions say not to place it on a carpet but I have read other posts on the net saying that putting them on a carpet is fine as long as you unscrew the legs underneath meaning that there is a gap between the bottom of the appliance and the carpet (our carpet is not a very thick one). We've done this now and there is a gap, should it be safe to use or should we buy a square of lino or get a sheet of plywood or something to put under it?
If someone knows and could advise me that would be much appreciated!

It requires cold air underneath to work put a piece of Lino or hardboard under it.
