I am insulating my timber suspended floor with 80mm celotex.

Should I fit celotex between the final joist and an exterior wall? It includes a bay window, under which I found rotten joists (replaced, treated adjacent, DPM under new plates etc). The celotex would be very near the level of a very old looking (slate?) damp proof course. The house was built in 1925.

My concern would be damp from the wall around the level of the slate DPC bridging via the celotex to the timber. Could this happen?

Thanks!!
