Hi guys

I am looking for some advice. When we switch on our hot water the central heating also comes on - even if it's not programmed to do so (we have 2 different switches on our timer - one for hot water and one for central heating - so they should be independent of each other). It seems to be that only some of the radiators come on.

Any ideas of what the problem could be? We have a standard gas (not combi) boiler but it is a dreaded Baxi Potterton boiler (model 100HE).

I'd be grateful for any opinions you have. I'll be away for the next week and so will see any replies on my return so thanks in advance for any input...

Apologies for Hijacking Post. I have had the same problem, I replaced the valve as it was corroded and would not seal effectively. I replaced the actuator (Drayton MA1), but, still have the same problem.
The actuator motor works when I remove it from the actuator, but, after locking the lever in and fitting the actuator, when I switch on the CH or HW, the actuator does not move. It looks like the indicator lever has broken off too.
Should I just replace the Actuator or is there something else I could do?

Thanks
