Hello,

I have a Siemens rwb2e programmer and have a y plan system.

My problem is that now it is getting a bit warmer I have turned the heating off, however the light is stopping on at the programmer to suggest that the heating is still on even though the slide switch is in the off position. Also when I turn the room thermostat up with the programmer in the off position the heating kicks in.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Sounds like the programmer is faulty. The light still coming on narrows it down to the programmer causing the problem.

Thanks for the replies,
Is there any tests that can be carried out to prove that it is the programmer at fault?

You can test to see if the ch on terminal on the programmer is live, when the ch is turned off. It shouldn't be live.

However, with your symptoms, it can only really be the programmer, as the boiler and pump are getting current when they shouldn't. With the programmer off, there is nowhere else the current can come from.
