chimney excess updraft

Modern house built 15 yrs ago classic Cornwall style rendered outside with tiled roof

Open fireplace in times of high winds causes strong updraft in chimney which in turn causes draughts in the house as the chimney pulls up air

Is there any way I can diminish the chimney's excess efficiency please?
