Could anyone give me a guide price for the removal of a chimney stack please, its on a 2 storey terraced house, approx. 1.8m by 0.7m by 1.4m high (from counting the bricks). Its in a bad way, needs pointing, bricks replacing etc and is now causing a damp patch internally. Its not used and i thought the best thing would be to remove it.

    Can you post a pic?

Pitch of roof, roof covering, access all come into play when determining price.

You would need your neighbours permission to erect a scaffold over their flat roof.

To erect scaffold remove chimney head and form gable apex would be in the region of £2000 to £2500.

Get 3 quotes you may get it cheaper.
