Some lovely children decided to egg or house last year. I managed to get most off at the time, but some of the white was stubborn so I had to leave it.

Over the winter this has turned to a horrible dark green stain. I've got a bit off with soap and water, but wondered if there is a better solution like bleach, though I obviously don't want to damage the brick.

Thanks for any advice!

You can get plenty of brick and patio cleaners but I have had no problems using caustic soda for removing algae, so could be worth a try, just don't make to strong a solution and rinse well.
