just put up some new tiles
they have had some sort of protection sqirted horizontally across each
one ( for protection in box) top and bottom.
It is proving almost impossible to remove completely
the top layer peels off, but leaves a thin residue that will not shift

i've tried scraping but they textured tiles, im also scared of damaging the glaze

any ideas ?

steam,
white spirits,
nail varnish remover,
errr.... canna think of anything else at the mo (well it is monday!)

Maybe those little plastic glass-cleaners that take a utility blade or a very sharp 1inch chisel.

Try it on a couple of your spare tiles or offcuts first.
