Cold Water Storage Tank

My house has a cold water storage tank which is located within high level storage in the second bedroom.

Can the tank be removed and cold water supply converted to 'off the mains' i.e. supplied when required straight from the mains?

Would this be a lot of work to carry out?

If you have a hot water cylinder then this is most unlikely to be rated for mains pressure.

If you have a combi boiler then perhaps you can.

Because it could be quite likely to make things leak or burst I recommend that you get professional advice.
