Hi , before i call an engineer out to this, just want to make sure that im not just a dumb blonde ! *chuckle*

our pressure drops to below 0.5 and i was shown by the installers how to put more water into the boiler if it does go below 1, so i have been doing this over the christmas period. about every two days.

Not loosing any heat in the house all radiators still giving of good heat.

and after reading some posts yes the arrow does shoot up quickly and not slow

so any suggestions?

if it's doing this every two days it sounds to me that you've got a leak somewhere.

Sounds like the expansion vessel is flat or knackered. The blow off may need replacing too if its been losing pressure for a while. If you no DIYer its a job for a CORGI plumber.

Top the pressure to 1 bar with the rads cold and if it gets anywhere above 2.5 when you turn the heating on...its the expansion vessell or a blocked pipe feeding it.
