Concrete Floor in Garage

Hi

Planning to build a double garage with internal dimensions 7.1m x 7.1m.

Plan to install 125mm of readymix concrete with A193 7mm reinforced mesh fitted 50mm up from the base of the concrete ?

I take it that this will more than support the weight of 2 cars ?

I plan to install 20mm expanded polystyrene around the perimeter of the concrete slab to act as an expansion joint.

Would this work or should I plan for a true expansion joint in the middle of the floor ?

If you are building a garage that size ,you have got to have building regs, why not ask your friendly bco what they would recommend .
