The glass unit in my patio door has condensation between the glass panels.

Is this fixable (if so, DIY or specialist?) or does it just need a new glazing unit?

Don't be fooled by the multitude of con artists out there who will say they can fix it, any fix will only ever be temporary.

Toughened glass prices vary area to area and month to month suprisingly enough but a ball park figure would be £60 per square metre retail, so you have 1.6443 sq m in each pane, X it by 2 = 3.2886 then X 60 = £197.31 + fitting and vat no doubt

Thanks for that. (i Think!!)

Right next question, where are the cheapest areas and what is the cheapest month!! lol

Best I start saving the pennies!

Thanks to all that have replied, big help.

Right so you accidentally on purpose cough cough get your lawn mower or strimmer out and get it to flick a stone at the door, this will pop the outer pane, you then ring your insurance company and claim on your buildings and pay your £50 excess

Wouldnt dream of it!

Mind you, I have just bought my 5 year old a set of golf clubs and if he wants to be the next Tiger Woods its practice practice practice! and accidents happen.

Yeah that ought to do it :D

The golf club story reminded me of a time i went out to a house on behalf of an insurance company. A teenager was practicing his swing and somehow lost his grip, it ended up going through an upstairs bathroom window of a house on a different street, well it was a new housing estate and these 2 gardens joined back to back, i had to laugh!
