I'm about to fit a new toilet but the plastic soil pipe that connects to the old toilet (not yet removed) is labelled as a Terrain No 125 (4X5) which apears to be a much larger diameter than the standard 110mm connector which I bought. The end of the pipe is flared to approximately 140mm (external diameter) but the bulk of the pipe is approx. 117mm (external diameter).
There is also a slight mismatch in the height of the waste on the new toilet compared to the new. The new toilet waste is centred about 185mm from the floor and the existing soil pipe is centered about 200mm from the floor.
Can anyone recommend a suitable connector for this situation? And would it be advisable to adjust the height of the soil pipe by enlarging the hole in the (board) wall and pushing it down to suit? (Its a fairly long way from the stack so should give a bit if pushed.
