Conservatory roof and plastic sheets roof - sealing up - HOW

Please see two files below to a conservatory roof which has just been placed on the side walls as what looks like just a lid with no sealing/insulation so the contact between the roof sheets and side walls is not air tight as a result of which the conservatory is always freezing.

I'd like to fix this but I am not sure what goes between this space? Hoping some experts can help me on this.

I'm no expert, just a DIYer.
I sealed the eaves with silicone.
The verge I sealed by installing a 100X25mm timber to fix the last support on top.
That timber overhung the wall by 50mm. I have a block wall. You could just fix a 50X50mm timber to the outside.
I finished that off with some 100mm wide tape, flashband or similar. That covered the edge of the support and the edge of the timber, leaving a small drip edge.
