Hi fellas

I've got to drill some 45mm holes into old stone farmhouse walls 500mm thick.

I've got a good Bosch SDS plus drill (2kg). I know I can buy a 45mm core cutter for this but I've heard it will knacker my drill. I've got a fair few holes (10) to drill so I'm a bit concerned my drill won't be able to hack it and I'm going to be in the middle of nowhere.

Would I be better off buying an SDS Max and a Core Bit?

Many thanks

Sid

Think you're better hiring one for core cutting. Wear their drill out not yours.

Has anyone actually ever drilled through a stone/rubble wall successfully?
I've always just used an crow bar and ended up with a big hole you could nearly crawl through.
