Hi All

Been working on repairing a hole on a internal wooden door for the last few days.

Used a natural (light) colored wood filler to fill the hole - but I'm not sure how to blend the filler patch in with the rest of the door.

In hindsight, maybe I should've used a darker filler.

Below is the patch that needs to be covered.

Any tips would be appreciated.

It will still stand out like a sore thumb - solid area of non-matching single colour (wood has variation in shade all over) with no grain pattern....... Wood filler is designed to fill small areas such as nail (pin) holes, etc, not ruddy great patches bigger than your two hands together.
