I LIVE IN A PREFABRICATED HOUSE AND THE FLOORS UPSTAIRS ARE AN ABSOLUTE NITEMARE, EVERY STEP YOU TAKE ITS CREAK, CREAK, CREAK !!!.......I THINK THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAS LAID CHIPBOARD DOWN IN ONE ROOM TO COMBAT THE PROBLEM PREVIOUSLY BUT IT HASN'T WORKED....COULD ANYONE ADVISE ON HOW TO REMEDY THIS PROBLEM!.....IS IT SOMETHING I COULD FIX MYSELF OR WOULD I JUST BE BETTER GETTING SOMEONE IN TO LAY NEW BOARDS DOWN ??....MANY THANKS, CLAIRE

Chances are simply screwing down the floor boards properly will help, I prefer to do this to simply nailing them down as a screw is more secure....CAUTION!! do check what is below the floor boards other wise you could well be calling a plumber or a sparky out to repair the screw holes in pipes and cables
